The world is full of crap that makes men angry. Some hold it in until they explode in rage or despair. Others express their anger in violent outbursts. Far better to loose that anger upon the Internet, where it harms nobody. Or at least nobody you care about.

We believe that a good rant is a thing of beauty. More, it is a path to healing the world (or would be if that hippy crap actually worked). Through our shared anger we can overcome our disagreements about politics, religion, life, and everything else. Even when we are the target of a rant, we can accept it without anger because, hell, it’s a rant! And who doesn’t love a good rant.

Like good political humor, a good rant is funny even if you completely disagree with it. In fact sometimes then it’s even better! So enjoy our anger, and join us in living our motto: through angry words, civil discourse!

I am just curious….who are the 12 men that the blog title names who write in this blog?

  2. Not all of the 12 have posted yet, but here are the identities of the ones who have been writing so far (along with links to their articles):

    Angry Cascadian
    Angry Immigrant
    Angry Midwesterner
    Angry New Mexican
    Angry Overeducated Catholic
    Angry Political Optimist
    Mildly Piqued Academic Man

  3. And Angry Libertarian has just weighed in with his first post.

A brief note to the author: whichever wp component that checks for dupe comments is on the blink. In my case, it kept telling me that I had already posted the same thing. On the theory that a short substring from a previous poster was hitting a flag in the logic, I kept editing the post, and also opened a fresh browser window not redirected from slashdot. It was then that I discovered that *all* of my posts were in fact accepted. My pardons for the mess.

So, only men allowed at the po’d party, or do they just take precedence, as always?

  6. Well 12 angry people just didn’t have the same ring to it since the film is called 12 angry men. Also most of the first recruits happened to be male so it was easier to run with that theme.

We do however have several Angry Guest Woman rants more so than a few of our male members (myself included).

    Link to those

I have been surprised by the lack of civil political discourse in some of the threaded discussions in the blogs. I suspect it might reflect the sort of people we are (i.e., in American society). Here is the post if you are interested: http://euandus3.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/are-the-american-people-really-like-mr-smith/
